Impressionism - Study of Light and Color
An empathy and fascination with people has defined my life and encompassed two careers. I believe this has shaped my ability to capture the character and personality of a person in a portrait in the same way that it enhanced my ability to help people as a therapist. A painting should say something about the subject, whether that subject is a person, a scene or a still life, and should have a quiet drama that is striking but subtle enough to remain vital over time. If I am going to freeze a moment in time, I want that moment to be enduring.
